Well, welcome to T Time: Spiritual conversations
2
:for, with and about women.
3
:I'm your host, Twanna Henderson.
4
:And I first want to say happy new year.
5
:We are excited to be in 2025.
6
:And if you are like me, you are so
looking forward to all that the Lord
7
:has in store for us in this coming year.
8
:So be sure to share and like
this broadcast, share it
9
:with all of your friends.
10
:Well, you know, on our final 2024
dcast, I shared that this May:
11
:, T Time will be celebrating five years
Yes, it has been so amazing to see how
12
:the Lord has taken the seed of a podcast
and grown it for five straight years.
13
:And as we go into this year,
I want to let you know that we
14
:have a focus theme for the year.
15
:If you are a part of Converge, which
of course is a movement of churches
16
:committed to helping people meet.
17
:know and follow Jesus, you may be
aware that the current vision of the
18
:president of Converge, John Jenkins Sr.,
19
:is to build and rebuild
a culture of evangelism.
20
:And evangelism, in its simplest
terms, is basically sharing Jesus
21
:with people who do not know him.
22
:This is where a T Time will
land in this coming year, and
23
:I'm so looking forward to it.
24
:See, in an ever changing world marked
by, technological advances, cultural
25
:shifts, global challenges, the message
of hope and love remains a constant need.
26
:Christian Evangelism, which is just the
act of sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ
27
:is a cornerstone of the Christian faith,
and it holds significant, importance both
28
:historically and in contemporary society.
29
:The relevance of evangelism today
is perhaps more crucial than ever
30
:as it addresses the spiritual.
31
:the moral and the social needs of
individuals and communities worldwide.
32
:You know, as we are all aware,
the world today faces numerous
33
:challenges, pandemics, conflicts,
economic disparities, and a
34
:pervasive sense of uncertainty.
35
:And in times like these, the
message of the gospel provides.
36
:unwavering hope.
37
:It speaks to the human condition
and addressing issues of purpose
38
:and identity and, and destiny.
39
:See, evangelism introduces individuals
to the transformative power of
40
:faith, which can lead to personal
healing, and societal restoration.
41
:Throughout history, Christian evangelism
has been a catalyst, if you will, for
42
:social change and humanitarian efforts.
43
:Many hospitals and schools and even
charitable organizations have Christian
44
:roots established to meet not only
physical, but also spiritual needs.
45
:And evangelism motivates believers
to serve others selflessly, to fight
46
:against injustices and to advocate for
the marginalized and the oppressed.
47
:The gospel also provides answers rooted in
the belief of a loving creator who offers
48
:redemption and, of course, eternal life.
49
:Evangelism invites individuals to
explore these answers, providing
50
:comfort and assurance in the
face of life's uncertainties.
51
:I'm often drawn to the testimonies that
abound of lives transformed through,
52
:those encountering the message of
Jesus Christ, such as people grappling
53
:with addiction or hopelessness or a
sense of emptiness who, who often find
54
:renewal and purpose through faith.
55
:Evangelism facilitates these personal
journeys, pointing individuals towards
56
:a path of healing and a path of growth.
57
:So I'm looking forward to, to
you coming alongside me this
58
:year as I talk of dynamic guests
around the topic of evangelism.
59
:And by sharing the gospel, we participate
in spreading a message that has the power
60
:to transform lives, to heal communities
61
:and to instill hope amidst despair.
62
:In a fragmented world, yearning for
connection and, and meaning evangelism
63
:offers a pathway to discover a love that
surpasses understanding and a purpose that
64
:endures beyond temporal circumstances.
65
:It calls individuals to not only
experience personal redemption,
66
:but also to contribute positively
to the world around them.
67
:So I'm looking forward to
:
68
:I hope you are too.
69
:Let's pray.
70
:Lord, teach us to build and
rebuild a culture of evangelism.
71
:As society continues to navigate
complexities and challenges, the role
72
:of Christian evangelism remains vital.
73
:It's a beacon of light guiding
hearts towards truth and
74
:fostering a global community
bound by faith and hope and love.
75
:So direct us in this
journey and order our steps.
76
:We so look forward to partnering with you.
77
:We love you and we
praise you in Jesus name.
78
:We pray.
79
:Thank you for joining me for T Time.
80
:I'm Twanna Henderson.
81
:And until the next time
be blessed of the Lord.
